“I started at Siegfried as a co-op student from UOP on the civil team. What really stood out to me was how approachable and willing to help everyone was, Siegfried created a great environment for me to ask questions and to progress in my career. I really enjoyed working on the civil team and now the geotech team as well, I feel as though the people around me have always been very invested in my growth as an engineer. The learning never stops and even though we’re constantly busy, our team always makes time for us if we have questions or are unsure about anything. Siegfried also does a great job of exposing young engineers to a multitude of different projects, which is very helpful to someone who is just beginning their career.”

“Despite my grandfather being a Civil Engineer, when I came to Siegfried as a co-op, I genuinely did not know what to expect from what would be my career in the present day. I’d not done any internships with engineering firms and my work experience in college was limited to working at Peets as a Barista. I came to Siegfried having only the theory provided by my education and several years of experience in the intense and fast-paced realm of food service.

Overall, my seven months as an intern were beyond stellar. The first month of my internship was rather nerve-wracking as I did not know what to expect over the months that were to follow. While working with Paul, Mike, and Ryan, just to name a few, I was given a sense of mentorship, support, and community. Being in an environment where I could easily and comfortably ask questions while working on projects that I have gotten to see become a reality, ultimately prepared me for the position I am in today, a Design Engineer. Working on these projects inspired my passion and has continued to inspire me to grow both personally and professionally to obtain my PE license and step in to managing another designer.

Six years later, I am still steadily growing and am grateful for the opportunity Siegfried gave me in 2019. I could not have asked for a better start to my career!”
