Siegfried provided landscape architecture, civil engineering, and surveying services for Vibra Healthcare’s Acute Rehabilitation Hospital in Natomas, a 60,000 SF facility designed to support healing, mobility, and overall well-being. Our work focused on creating therapeutic outdoor spaces that enhance the patient experience, promote physical activity, and foster a sense of community.
A key feature of the design is the multi-surface walking circle, thoughtfully crafted to accommodate patients with varying mobility levels. Incorporating permeable paving, soft mulch paths, and compacted gravel, the walking circle provides both accessibility and sensory experiences that support rehabilitation and the re-learning of mobility skills. Surrounding the walking circle are therapeutic planting areas that offer shade, visual interest, and opportunities for patients to engage with nature during recovery.
Through thoughtful landscape planning, the project delivers outdoor environments that support patient recovery and mobility while enhancing the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the Natomas rehabilitation hospital.
