The University of the Pacific Sand Volleyball project consists of a three court collegiate-level facility. The new courts will be used by the UOP women’s volleyball team for their intercollegiate sand volleyball league as well as year-round sand volleyball training and play. The facility includes bleacher style stadium seating and a multipurpose natural turf training and activity area adjacent to the courts which can be utilized for special event staging and other team activities. The courts are also designed with a natural turf perimeter with the goal of eventually converting all turf areas to synthetic grass for increased water efficiency and year round use and training. Playing at home for the first time in program history, the Pacific sand volleyball team did not disappoint their home fans as the Tigers took home a pair of victories on Sunday, April 14 against future WCC rival Santa Clara.
