Siegfried worked with UC Davis to improve the water quality and flow for the East end of Putah Creek within the UC Davis Arboretum. The project remedied algae growth and historically low water levels by constructing six new weirs across 2,500 linear feet of the creek. The existing 20-foot channel width is modified at each weir location to create “narrows” in the creek and create opportunities at the bank edges for new emergent marsh plantings.
