Siegfried provided civil engineering and surveying services for the on-site improvements for the new St. Joseph’s Women’s and Children’s Center. The OSHPD rated hospital, which was a series of phased projects based on the master plan, includes a new 152,000 SF Women’s and Children’s Health Center. As with most urban, aging, downtown settings, the existing hospital infrastructure was complicated and well under capacity. Siegfried was tasked with analyzing the existing infrastructure and designing the appropriate measures to serve the hospital expansion projects. In addition, the complex network of infrastructure had to be designed on large grade changes as well as around an existing underground parking structure. This project also had a large vehicle drive located under a pedestrian bridge in which Siegfried was an integral component in ensuring proper elevations were established.
