Siegfried’s collaborated with Evergreen Valley College on the design and construction of the new $32 million General Education building. Our civil engineering and landscape architecture services aimed to create a modern, functional, and aesthetically pleasing space for learning and collaboration.
The project encompassed a 32,000 square foot, three-story building that serves as a hub for classrooms and offices, catering to the diverse academic needs of the college community. Siegfried’s role in the design/build process ensures that both the civil engineering and the surrounding landscape were seamlessly integrated, creating a harmonious environment conducive to education and innovation.
One of the key features of the project is the incorporation of outdoor spaces designed by Siegfried’s landscape architects. A promenade and informal gathering areas will provide students and faculty with opportunities for relaxation, socialization, and outdoor learning. These outdoor spaces, strategically positioned around the building, serve as extensions of the indoor learning environment, fostering connectivity with nature and promoting a sense of community on campus.
The General Education building will stand as a testament to the college’s commitment to academic excellence and innovation, providing students and faculty with a dynamic learning environment tailored to meet the demands of the 21st century.
