Siegfried worked with Santa Clara Valley Water District (SCVWD) on the design of a new $2.5M warehouse and site upgrade on the Coyote Pumping Plant campus in Morgan Hill. The project design takes advantage of Siegfried’s multidisciplinary approach by integrating the best of what Siegfried has to offer.
The true challenge with this project does not lie in the design, it lies in the CEQA /NEPA clearance. The project sits on a site that is owned partially by SCVWD and partially by the Federal Bureau of Reclamation, thus triggering a series of NEPA requirements rarely seen for this type of project. To compound the complexity the project lies within a habitat mitigation plan boundary as well as a dozen other governing studies. Nature and quantity of the stored materials, the project site will need to be flexible in nature; allowing the storage yard and warehouse to grow and adapt as District needs change over time.
