Siegfried is proud to be providing both civil engineering and landscape architecture services for the highly anticipated San Jose City College Career Education Complex. This ambitious project is a cornerstone of the San Jose Evergreen Community College District’s Measure X Bond Program, designed to elevate the educational infrastructure within the district and support a range of career-focused programs.
The new development encompasses a state-of-the-art, 85,000 square foot building that will serve as a dynamic educational hub for the college. The facility is meticulously designed to include a variety of specialized spaces such as modern classrooms, cutting-edge computer labs, and program-specific laboratories that cater to diverse career education needs. In addition to these educational spaces, the building will feature student support areas designed to enhance the overall learning experience, social areas that foster community and interaction among students, and foodservice facilities to accommodate the daily needs of the campus community.
In conjunction with the construction of this new building, the project also includes the renovation of 40,000 square feet of Building 200 on campus. This renovation aims to rejuvenate existing facilities, integrating them with the new structures and ensuring that all spaces meet contemporary educational and environmental standards.
The total investment for this transformative project is approximately $120 million, reflecting a significant commitment to enhancing the San Jose City College campus. The project is set to invigorate the campus environment, providing modern facilities that will support and inspire both students and faculty. Siegfried’s role in this major undertaking involves not only ensuring the technical and functional excellence of the civil engineering aspects but also creating a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing landscape that complements the new and renovated buildings.
Through this project, Siegfried is contributing to the broader goal of fostering a vibrant and forward-looking educational environment that will serve the San Jose community for years to come.
