Sage is the largest residential product featured at The Cannery, the ground-breaking farm-to-fork community in Davis. Siegfried provided landscape architectural design for the model complex and surrounding common areas, including streetscape planting and parklets. Emphasizing the agrarian roots of the community throughout, edible planting – including a grove of field-grown olive trees – was used throughout the model complex. Each distinctly styled model includes unique and memorable elements, including rainwater barrels, a board-formed concrete fountain, raised garden beds, and an outdoor kitchen constructed with reclaimed barn siding. Adjacent to the community’s paseos and greenbelts and with vistas of working farmland beyond, the landscape design throughout the models creates welcoming opportunities to enjoy a casual California lifestyle with family and friends.
