Siegfried provided architecture, structural engineering, civil engineering, landscape architecture, and surveying services for the City of Palo Alto’s Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Center that sits within the existing Regional Water Quality Control Plant. Design elements included site planning for a custom canopy, five modular facilities, recycling containers, loading areas, and a check-in booth. Special attention was paid to the site layout, which included the preservation of many existing mature trees to ensure the site blended in with the surrounding neighborhood and Baylands Park.
