Siegfried is providing civil engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, and public outreach services for the City of Stockton’s Miracle Mile Pedestrian Safety and Revitalization Project. Focused on the Pacific Avenue and Harding Way corridors, the project aims to improve pedestrian safety, accessibility, and connectivity while supporting the long-term revitalization of Stockton’s historic Miracle Mile district.
Working closely with the City and multidisciplinary project team, Siegfried is evaluating existing roadway conditions, traffic patterns, utilities, lighting, and landscaping to identify opportunities for improvement. Proposed enhancements include safer pedestrian crossings, bicycle and transit accommodations, traffic calming measures, streetscape improvements, and landscaping. The team is also developing conceptual plans, environmental documentation, and phased construction plans to guide future improvements along the corridor.
Community engagement plays an important role in shaping the project’s direction. Siegfried has supported two public outreach meetings, gathering feedback from residents, business owners, and community stakeholders to help inform the planning and design process. The team is also assisting with grant writing to help secure funding and support the project’s implementation.
As the project progresses, Siegfried continues to work alongside the City and community to develop thoughtful, creative solutions that prioritize pedestrian safety, improve accessibility, and support the long-term vitality of the Miracle Mile district.
