Civil engineering, surveying, and landscape architecture for the improvements of Sutter Medical Office Building #8 at the Sutter Medical Center. The challenge for this project was that it involved the construction of a new medical office building in an existing parking lot. Siegfried leaned on our innovative staff to come up with the right solution for the Sutter.
The parking lot was reconfigured to accommodate the new building and traffic signal improvements were required at the intersection of Medical Plaza Drive and Secret Ravine Parkway. The greatest challenge of the project was placing the medical office building on a previously paved area which had a grade differential of approximately 5’ from one side of the proposed building to the other. Utilizing our civil design team we were able to grade the building pad and adjacent accessible parking stalls and pathways to fit seamlessly into the surrounding terrain.
