Starbucks maintains one of the most renowned development programs in retail history. Starbucks’ vision is that their stores offer an authentic coffee experience that not only conveys the artistry of espresso-making, but also provides a place to think and imagine, gather and talk, and congregate beyond work or home in a welcoming atmosphere.
Starbucks stores are designed by their own in-house architectural team to ensure that each store conveys the most appropriate image and character. This custom-design approach provides a unique character linked to their respective locations and culture. Each store differs in size and shape with most stores ranging in size from 1,000 to 1,500 SF, and vary from office buildings, downtown, and suburban retail centers, airport terminals, university campus areas, and busy neighborhood shopping. While similar materials and furnishings are used to keep the look consistent and expenses reasonable, only two stores of over 7,000 are exactly alike.
Siegfried has provided professional services to Starbucks from its site evaluation phase through the preparation of construction documents, permit processing, and construction administration services.
