Siegfried worked with Santa Clara Valley Water District on the design of a new $2.5M warehouse and site upgrade on the Coyote Pumping Plant campus in Morgan Hill. The project design took advantage of Siegfried’s multidisciplinary approach by integrating the best of what Siegfried has to offer.
The true challenge with this project did not lie in the design; it lay in the CEQA /NEPA clearance. The project sits on a site owned partially by SCVWD and partially by the Federal Bureau of Reclamation, thus triggering a series of NEPA requirements rarely seen for this type of project. To compound the complexity, the project lies within a habitat mitigation plan boundary as well as a dozen other governing studies. The nature, and quantity, of the stored materials the project sit, needed to be flexible to allow the storage yard and warehouse to grow and adapt as the District needs change over time.
