Civil engineering and structural engineering services for the development of a new bus fuel station and above ground fuel tank located on the site of their proposed Regional Transit Center in Stockton, CA. The project involved placement of the fuel tank and fuel station island to adapt to the existing site conditions and to provide efficient bus access, operation, maintenance, and use. All designs were developed with the participation and input of the City Fire Marshall to assure the highest security and safety for storage and dispensing of flammable and combustible fuel. The new filling area was placed on a new concrete pad with run-off capture mechanism for code compliant containment measures, and featured a custom designed canopy for weather protection. The site was fully designed and included the development of several three-dimensional models to convey the design intent to the project stakeholders.
