Siegfried provided civil engineering, structural engineering, and land surveying services for the design of a four lane concrete vehicle bridge over Pixley Slough. The bridge, which connects to West Eight Mile Road, was designed to provide access to the Destinations residential development on the north side of Stockton, CA. Siegfried was also tasked with providing services which included the acquisition of Federal, State, and Local jurisdictional permits, Boundary and Topographic surveys, the design of Eight Mile Road improvements to raise the road nearly two feet to accommodate bridge grades including grading, paving, drainage and signalization, Hydrology and Hydraulic channel analysis (performed by Domenichelli & Associates), and structural design of all bridge and abutment features incorporating Kleinfelder’s geotechnical recommendations. All applications, permits, and approvals from all required agencies including U. S. Army Corp of Engineers, Central Valley Flood Protection Board, State Department of Fish and Game, State Water Quality Control Board, and the Woodbridge Irrigation District were obtained by Siegfried.
