Siegfried provided civil engineering, surveying, site planning, cost estimating, and construction administration services for the redevelopment of over 2,800 LF of roadway in downtown Stockton, CA to accommodate a historic hotel renovation and a new theatre. Design elements included public transit stops, pedestrian access, lit crosswalk, planting and irrigation, entrance into a sub-surface parking garage, a new plaza and drop-off area, a water feature, and bicycle lanes. Siegfried also improved the site infrastructure by replacing an aging 72″ storm main in the middle of a building that comes from a large upstream tributary area and discharges into the Deep Water Channel. The innovative site design uniquely placed and screened two large electrical transformers, which are now clearly hidden in the wings of the basement vehicular access ramps.
