Siegfried provided civil and structural engineering, and surveying services for the City of Stockton’s Hazelton & Industrial Rail Crossing Project. The Hazelton project was designed to provide railway-highway safety improvements at the Hazelton Avenue and UPRR crossing. Improvements included the installation of medians to discourage gate drive-around, continuous ADA compliant sidewalks, ramps, and pavement markings. This project also included the installation and upgrade of warning devices all around the crossing, designed and installed by UPRR.
The Industrial project safety improvements included the installation of a new traffic signal at Industrial Drive, and McKinley Avenue with interconnection between traffic signal and railroad warning devices all around the crossing and reconstructed roadway to provide advance preemption time, installed pre-signal and queue cutter signal device. This project also included warning devices were designed and installed by UPRR.
