Siegfried provided civil engineering, structural engineering, landscape architecture and surveying for the City of Palo Alto’s Bowden Park. Located in a historic neighborhood, Jerry Bowden Park provides over two acres of neighborhood amenities including an open lawn area, playground, and community gathering space. The Park has seen over 60 years of use and needed significant updates including site amenities, infrastructure, and planting. Throughout the design process, it was important to not only preserve the essential function and qualities that endeared the Park to the neighborhood but also to design sensitively to preserve existing trees and other remaining features.
