On March 16, 2022, we celebrated the completion of the Miner Avenue Complete Streets with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the City of Stockton.

The highlight of the Miner Avenue Complete Streets project is the newly installed roundabout at the intersection of San Joaquin Street and Miner Avenue. In the middle of the roundabout stands a historic fountain spire that was previously removed to make way for the new State of California courthouse. This original piece of art was dedicated to Stockton’s founder, Charles Weber, and with the addition of the roundabout, it has found its new home!

This project also installed new bike lanes and reduced traffic from four lanes down to two. Funding from six separate sources helped complete this project, which started in 2008. Siegfried was the lead design firm, and the City of Stockton recognized the team at the ceremony!
