Siegfried has an opening for a Landscape Architect/Project Manager operating out of our Sacramento office.
Please submit work samples in addition to your resume. Work samples shall be a maximum of 10 pages 8.5×11 pages in PDF format not exceeding 32 Mb and include a minimum of 5 work samples.
Position Summary
In general, the duties of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
- Project and staff management
- Prioritize and coordinate tasks with other project managers and team members
- Research project requirements
- Develop conceptual sketches and visualizations
- Be responsible for checking drawing format and dimension accuracy
- Prepare and assemble construction documents
- Perform drafting and presentation work for projects
- Prepare project cost estimates for materials, equipment and labor
- Compose memos and other correspondence
- Construction observation
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong verbal, graphic, and written communication skills, and the ability to participate in collaborative project teams and coordinate deliverables
- An ability to professionally and proactively communicate with clients and co-workers
- The desire to integrate with and learn related disciplines
- Strong understanding of landscape construction, grading, irrigation and horticultural knowledge desired
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, Microsoft Office, and knowledge of Land FX preferred.
- Strong creative design ability and an ability to artistically convey project design elements graphically
- Positive Attitude
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture
- Landscape Architecture License
Experience
- 7+ years of landscape architectural experience
- Commercial experience
Salary
Starting salary is $90k annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
