These Row Homes at The Cannery in Davis provide convenient access to the community’s farm, parks, bicycle trails, and clubhouse. Planting for the models featured edible landscape, reflective of the community’s agrarian theme, contrasted with striking drifts of flowering plants and perennial grasses, with a backdrop of clipped evergreen shrubs. The landscape provides a buffer between public and private space and creates a sense of transition when entering each unit – critical to livability for higher-density housing. The design provides for residents of all ages, including integrated bicycle storage and livable design – including accessible walks and zero-threshold entrances at interior units.
