Siegfried provided civil engineering, surveying, site planning, and cost estimating for the redevelopment of over 2,000 LF of roadway in downtown Stockton, CA. The corridor project was designed to accommodate a “super event” at the new Arena, Baseball Park, and seven-story hotel and conference center development. Design elements included public transit stops, new signals and lighting, planting and irrigation, widened sidewalks, bicycle lanes, and increased pedestrian connectivity to the Stockton waterfront area. Due to the redevelopment, Siegfried improved the site infrastructure including sewer lines, water mains, and a storm drainage system to relieve historical capacity issues. This project updated the over 100 year old roadway and provided improved access to some of Downtown Stockton’s most notable areas, including City Hall, the Civic Auditorium, and the waterfront area.
