In 2009, Siegfried was retained to provide the civil engineering improvement plans for the design and construction of the new Sutter Gould Stockton Medical Campus. The project, which sits on a parcel that was rezoned from residential to commercial, was phased with one 40,000 SF medical office building being designed and built first, then a second medical office building, and finally, an MRI imaging center and an OSHPD rated Ambulatory Surgery Center. Siegfried provided all master planning and site planning for the project. Site work for the new campus included mass grading, parking lots, and the design of a bio-retention swale for stormwater runoff. The site required us to design a feature that detained additional stormwater due to zoning criteria. The project’s final phase, as per Siegfried’s master plan, is set up for the development of a full hospital.
