UC Davis, International Center – Grand Opening!

  Hello and Happy Friday! Today on the blog, we have some photos from last week’s grand opening ceremony for UC Davis’ new International Center! It was a gorgeous day to gather and celebrate the beautiful new facility together. About the Project: As part of UC Davis’ commitment to extend its recognition as a leading international university, the campus has built a new international facility, accommodating three campus units; UC Davis Extension Center for International Education, Services for International Students and Scholars, and the Education Abroad Center. The new 55,000 GSF building, referred to as the International Center, is located at the north edge of campus at California Avenue and Russell Boulevard. Siegfried is very excited to announce that one of our lead civil engineers, Adam Merrill, has been promoted to Principal! With over a decade of experience, Adam has a strategic and intelligent approach to his designs and has effectively led many projects to successful completion – all while raising his 4-year-old daughter, Payton, with his beautiful wife, Natalie. Some of Adam’s most recent projects have been with the Town of San Anselmo, where he has cultivated successful working relationships, and in turn, a highly successful Low Impact Development Pilot project, Roadway Reconstruction projects, and Median Master Plan for the Town. Currently, he is working on the Hudson Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety project in Redwood City, the new 1800-stall parking structure…

Award:                American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), SF Section, Outstanding Water/Wastewater Project of the Year Project:               EBMUD Estates Reservoir Project For the Estates Reservoir Replacement project, Siegfried provided civil engineering, signage, and trail planning and design. Project challenges included developing a trail and signage plan that incorporated the larger project goals, but also remained functional in a natural hilly terrain.
